Best Wishes from the Marina

It's stinking hot in our teeny, tiny attic apartment. While we still have the boat, we might as well use it!
I've been working on one commission, but getting a lot done on The Wish...

Here are a few of the tight pencils I've completed over the last few days.

I keep The Wish pages in a plastic sleeve binder for safe keeping from bugs and spiders and gooey things in marinas.

My "office" at the marina club house where we have a Wi-Fi signal for internet access... and more than a few flies!

Although it's slow going, I am making progress with The Wish. There is still a lot of work to be done. The pages still need to be inked and coloured, but I'm hoping to have this ready for publication in the fall. Just in time for Christmas... AARRRRGH!!! I just said the "C" word!

a wedding gift

Jason commissioned me to draw this Mennonite barn located in Teton Nation Park. It was the site where his friend Brian proposed to Jenn on Sept. 11, 2011. Jason will be giving this to them as a wedding present.

This is the rough pencil version...

...the tight pencil version...

...the inked version...

...and, finally, the coloured finished product...

...I hope they like it. Jason seems to think that they will. Best wished to Jenn and Brian.

still wishing...

I thought I'd post a few more pencil drawings from "The Wish" just to show that I am indeed still working on it when I can.

...wish and wait, as Gramma would say, wish and wait.

Happy Canada Day!
